Luisa was born in 1938, the daughter of a local painter famous for his work on numerous churches in the area. The youngest of six children, she learned her craft from the nuns of Luigi Rossi in Positano, who at the time introduced young women to the world of work, teaching them the art of sewing and bobbin lace.
She spent her childhood in post-war Positano and around the age of 12 or 13 began her career with Irene Kowaliska, the celebrated artist and painter from Warsaw, who had moved to Positano after studying painting in Berlin. Famous for her distinctive prints on Vietri ceramics, Kowaliska introduced Positano and young Luisa to the world of fashion, reaching as far as the elegant atelier of the Fontana sisters in Rome with her innovative prints.
In the 1960s, Luisa's beauty and thick hair made her the face of Positano's new tailoring business. Her entrepreneurial career began in 1969, fueled by her experience and desire to work in Positano fashion. After learning the tradition of handmade craftsmanship, Luisa began selling her own creations and later expanded her business, offering employment opportunities to other local artisans.
Over the years, the company has grown, with the collaboration of his children Giulio, Susanna, and Giovanna, to become a true women's clothing workshop. The eldest son, Giulio, after studying pattern making and gaining experience working in workshops and using CAD, is responsible for pattern creation and cutting.
Susanna, the second-born, continued her studies in Economics and Business at the Federico II University of Naples. After gaining extensive experience participating in various European fashion fairs, she returned to her boutique, offering creative, romantic dresses and new prints, always maintaining the tradition of Positano lace, winning over every customer.
Finally, Giovanna, the youngest daughter, is now a point of reference in Positano and a friend to every customer, winning everyone over with her charm and ability to speak several foreign languages.
